Coconut / nut shell granular carbon

Made from coconut or nut shell, this activated carbon has a well-developed pore structure and high adsorption capacity for free chlorine, organics, colour and odour. It is a standard medium for RO pre-treatment and advanced drinking water purification, food grade and also used for wastewater and air treatment.

Which mesh size should I choose?

8–20 mesh for multimedia filters, 20–40 mesh for polishing; we match the size to your vessel diameter and flow rate.

How do I calculate the filling quantity?

Roughly 0.6–0.8 t per m³ of bed volume for anthracite, 1.4–1.6 t/m³ for quartz sand and 0.45–0.55 t/m³ for GAC.

Is the carbon acid-washed?

Both steam-activated and acid-washed grades are available; acid-washed is recommended where low leachables are required.
