Quartz sand media offers high hardness and chemical stability for multi-media filters, sand filters and sand tanks, trapping suspended solids, colloids and silt to reduce outlet turbidity. Common gradings are 0.5–1.2 mm, 1–2 mm and 2–4 mm, filled to suit vessel diameter and bed depth, packed in 25 kg or 50 kg bags.

Which mesh size should I choose?

8–20 mesh for multimedia filters, 20–40 mesh for polishing; we match the size to your vessel diameter and flow rate.

How do I calculate the filling quantity?

Roughly 0.6–0.8 t per m³ of bed volume for anthracite, 1.4–1.6 t/m³ for quartz sand and 0.45–0.55 t/m³ for GAC.

Is the carbon acid-washed?

Both steam-activated and acid-washed grades are available; acid-washed is recommended where low leachables are required.
