Natural manganese sand, mainly manganese dioxide, catalyses the oxidation of ferrous iron and manganous manganese into insoluble precipitates that are then filtered out — solving yellow water, metallic taste and pipe staining from groundwater. It also reduces some heavy metals and colour.

8–20 mesh for multimedia filters, 20–40 mesh for polishing; we match the size to your vessel diameter and flow rate.

How do I calculate the filling quantity?

Roughly 0.6–0.8 t per m³ of bed volume for anthracite, 1.4–1.6 t/m³ for quartz sand and 0.45–0.55 t/m³ for GAC.

Is the carbon acid-washed?

Both steam-activated and acid-washed grades are available; acid-washed is recommended where low leachables are required.
